The Teachers Service Commission has initiated disciplinary action against 5,000 head teachers for failing to adhere to the code of regulation for teachers.
According to a statement from the teachers’ employer, the 5,000 have been issued with show cause notices for failing to ensure the welfare of learners was addressed despite stoppage of school work.
“While most administrative staff have complied with the directive as per the provisions of the Code of Regulations for Teachers, some have not. As a result the commission has served 5,000 with show cause letters to commence the start of the disciplinary action against those teachers,” read the statement.
